As we make decisions as to what path to take in life, we need to understand that God's not trying to withhold any good thing from us.  He wants us to be all that we can be.  He wants us to have an "abundant" and fruitful life; an enjoyable life. He, also, wants to help us achieve this; not keep us from achieving it.
Life can be tricky.  Our decisions can lead down a path of happiness and contentment, or a path of heartache.  We, can only see the here and now. God, however, knows so
much more.  He wants to help us choose the right path.  There are some things we can consider when choosing what path to take (life principles.)  If I may, I'd like to share a few with you. Please Let's narrow it down.  Say I was considering a career path, I might think to myself, " If I did this or that I'd make a lot of money, however, I don't know if it's what I really what I want to do.' What should I do?"'  Well, it surely wouldn't be something I didn't want to do.  I have a long way to go.  Why make it miserable?
Consider what really makes you happy?  What is it your passionate about?  Could you do it and still live a good Christian life?  And make a good living at it?  If God's important to you, you surely don't want to spend the rest of your life doing things you know wouldn't be pleasing to Him.
I know that sounds simple, however, when we're young, we don't always look at it that way.  We're caught up in an "entitlement" mode; we think only of the money, and what we can get out of it.  After all, we're entitled to get the best.  And if that means stepping on others along the way, well, then so be it.  That's what everyone else is doing.  That's what I'll have to do to be successful.
In prayer, ask God what path you should take in fulfilling your passion; learn to hear His still quiet voice; He will answer you.1
Confirm what you believe God is saying to you. What do others think about your decision (especially those who know you and have Godly wisdom?)
What does the Bible say?  Is there anything in the Bible that would say not to?
Circumstances have a lot to do with it.  Is it possible?  Well, with God anything's possible; as long as you're willing to do it His way.
Are you willing to do what it takes to be successful God's way?  I hope so! If not, and you start down the wrong path, then it's going to be a long path.
If everything seems to be in agreement, "Go for it!"  There's a good chance you're on the right path.  Just remember who you are, however (a Christian); live and act accordingly.  In the end, you'll have run a good race; a path which was pleasing to God, to you and to others.  That's more important than doing whatever it takes to make the most money (no matter what.)  Do it God's way.
God bless you and remember, God first, your family second, and everything else after that.  That's your priority.
