THE LORD'S SUPPER

On Thursday  evening  the beginning  of the Festival,Jesus  sat down with his twelve disciples to eat the passover meal.

As they were eating , he said ,"Truly , I tell  you , one of you will betray me." The disciples looked at one another wondering of whom  Jesus was talking about .Peter gave a sign  to John who was sitting  next to Jesus to let him ask. Jesus answered ,"It is the one to whom I will  give this bread which I have dipped in the souce."  And he gave the bread  to Judas, saying ,"Be quick  about  what you have to do!" When Judas took the bread, Satan entered him.None of the others understood  what Jesus meant.

Then Jesus took a bread, gave thanks, broke it, and gave it to his disciples. " Take it and it it," he said  ,"this is my body which is given for you .Do this in memory of me."

Then Jesus told his disciples, " There are still  many things I would liike to say to you, but it would be too much for you now.

The Helper , the holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name will teach you everything and make you remember  all that I have told you." When they had sang a hymn  they went out to the Mount of olives.
